Loss and Bereavement

Although grief and loss are a natural part of life, sometimes they can be very challenging and difficult times.

I know that asking for help can be difficult, but I believe you do not have to deal with your loss and bereavement alone, therapy can help you.

It can help you process and accept your loss, understand the emotions you are experiencing and make decisions about the future.

 

I believe that everyone deals with loss and grief differently. It is important to recognise your individuality and how it interacts with your grieving process. 

Loss is an emotion which need not only apply to the loss of a person but of other cherished elements in your life, such as a work position or a pet. Equally, loss may be experienced where a family member suffers from dementia or is receiving palliative care for a terminal condition.
